My Best Friends Wedding

Last year I wrote a post titled 'Wonderful Weddings' because best friends of ours had just announced their engagement and I was so excited.  This year, June 1st, Jeff and Emily were married and it was a truly wonderful day.

Elms Phography

Steven Elms of Elms Photography was with us ladies for most of the day.  He took candid photos and captured precious moments that often get lost in the lead up to the 'I do's'.  While he was with us, we kept calm and carried on as though he wasn't even there.  The majority of photographs in this post have been taken by Elms Photography and how spectacular they are!

It's all in the details...
Emily is a gorgeous girl,  inside & out.  On this day, you were breathtaking babe!
The wedding was held at the Waterfront Centre in Hamilton where the sail boats and lush greenery made a lovely backdrop to the group photographs taken after the wedding.  Unfortunately, the weather didn't completely cooperate, so the wedding ceremony was held in doors.  Despite Mother Natures' failure to comply with our wishes, it was still a wonderful ceremony with a simple, yet beautifully decorated venue.

Neutral tones for a timeless setting and classic decor, all included and set up by the venue
The beaded jewels stemming from the roses add a nice touch of elegance and bling
Our son Adley (left) and our daughter Elise (holding hands with Thomas, Emily's nephew) also played a role in the big day as page boy and flower girl.  The middle photo is the handsome groom and our good friend Jeff.  I love this picture of Jeff as it was the first moment he saw his beautiful bride coming down the isle.

Adley read a poem and he did such a great job!  We were so proud of him.

Elise was more than happy to demonstrate how to ring the bell to get the couple to smooch!

My husband Chris- who was not only a groomsman, but also the MC and myself as a bridesmaid.
The fresh and pretty sea-foam colour of the dresses really were flattering for each of us bridesmaids.  Men in black always look sharp and with Emily in her stunning vintage mermaid styled wedding dress, the colour palette made for beautiful pictures.

The bridal party pictures...

I love this picture.  Stephen edited the photo by adding darkness to the clouds for a more dramatic effect.

Just the newlyweds....

We had such an amazing day that will never be forgotten.

Lots of laughs...

I decided to piggy back Chris in as part of our big entrance!

Lifesavers...lol

and lasting memories...

Congratulations Jeff and Emily, thanks for making us a part of your special day.  We love you guys!
